Originally opened as a tinner's shop, the company grew into heating & cooling, home improvements, roofing, and eventually into real estate. Development, Inc. was established in 1965 by V.B. "Mac" Greenayre, and began with remodeling small commercial locations. Since then, Development, Inc.'s portfolio has grown to include retail malls and strip centers, retail and office buildings, multi-story office buildings, and business parks.

Today, the company is headed by Mac's son, Mike Greenamyre, President, Development, Inc. Helping Mike run Development, Inc., is Jeremy Greenamyre, Vice-President; Daniel Greenamyre, Director of Maintenance; and Rich Holden, Commercial Operations.
